Kenny Chesney – BE AS YOU ARE. A song made for our trip! 🙂
The Toomey’s are moving to Costa Rica for ONE YEAR!
How did this come about? About 2 years ago, Billy and I made a trip to Costa Rica for our anniversary. We fell in love with the simplicity, beauty and true happiness throughout the country. We knew our 4 children would love it there, and would benefit tremendously from the simple lifestyle. On that trip, we talked about living down there during our kids’ 3-month summer breaks. A few months after we returned from that anniversary trip, Billy got in a bad motocross accident and was in a wheelchair for a couple of months. Needless to say, our summer trip wasn’t going to happen.
Last August, Billy and I had an idea to move the family down to Costa Rica for a year. I would homeschool the kids, and Billy would work on the phones and internet, just as he does here. We put it on paper, and decided to write a “list” of everything that needed to happen before we could make the move. The list was super long, and it looked like a long-shot, but guess what……………..HERE WE ARE!!! We crossed items off the list weekly, put our heads together with ideas, and made it happen. A few items on the list were selling our rental property, find a city and place to live in CR, figure out how to homeschool, sell the RV, make sure billy could do his job solely on the phones and internet, and sell the cars. Our departure date is set for July 15th, 2010!
You can track our fun-filled adventure on our website at https://toomeyadventures.wordpress.com. We will be keeping up with the website as a family, so feel free to send any of us a message, anytime. The kids will even write their own posts.
Please pray for our family as we set out on this wonderful journey. We would love for you to pray for our safety, good health, to enjoy one another, inner happiness and most of all, TO HAVE FUN!
Thank you for loving and supporting us crazy Toomeys!
Through Him,
Tiffany
What a difference a day makes. Today, after undergoing medical tests to check the extent of the injury suffered in yesterday’s Thailand 2012 opener against Japan, Brazil winger Falcao has a smile on his face once again. Both the star and the South Americans’ staff now believe the No12 could recover in time to play a further part at the FIFA Futsal World Cup Thailand 2012.聽After just three minutes of the 4-1 cheap jerseys from china win over the Japanese, Falcao was forced to withdraw with an injury to his right calf.
Watched by an impressively large crowd, mainly bedecked in the colours of the national flag, Norio Sasaki’s team were carried through their 90 minutes against New Zealand on a palpable wave of euphoria. Mexican waves and rhythmic drumming provided a colourful and constant accompaniment to the cheap nfl jerseys match. “We played our best, we worked cheap nike nfl jerseys very hard, but still, I think we haven’t reached our best level yet. Winning the group is not our goal here in Japan. We’re here to reach the final, and we won’t be satisfied after any game until we have reached this goal, Korea DPR coach Sin Ui Gun
However, the Italian giants’ owed as much to Gattuso’s selfless hard work as they did to their goalscorers. The 29-year-old’s performance, which was marked by countless crunching tackles and ferocious determination, earned him uefa.com users’ Man of the Match award.’Incredible achievement'”It was an incredible achievement, he said. “It seemed easy but we know what we’ve been through this season and it hasn’t been at all easy to get to this point.
Italy are therefore seven points ahead of Norway, whose game finished 2-2 in Slovenia while Belarus lost 1-0 in Moldova. Italy need only draw in Belarus cheap nfl jerseys from china on Tuesday to enter the play-offs, while a win would guarantee first place. In second place, Norway, two points ahead of Belarus and Slovenia, play at home against Scotland.
Schelin was named as the player of the match for her efforts, but was quick to praise the efforts of her team-mates and her Australian opponents when interviewed after the final whistle. FIFA.com: Lotta, how do you feel? Was that Sweden’s best performance so far? Lotta Schelin: I’m delighted.

WOW!!! SO excited for you guys and cannot wait to watch and see the next year of laughter and memories unfold. Tiff you are an amazing woman, mother & wife! I love reading about this journey and can’t wait for more. Reading your post on “why”? it brought back the time of you holding a battery operated tape player in your lap in my celica windows down from no A.C. and then having a blowout in the middle of nowhere on our way back to Lubbock but wasn’t that a fun trip?! It makes me smile remembering the laughter we had on that journey. I can only imagine the laughter you will have on this one!
Love you!
Belinda
Dear Toomey’s,
Wow! What an amazing adventure you have set out on. I think this is a tremendous opportunity for your entire family and I know you will all be richer for the experience. Don’t worry about the homeschooling. My wife and I have been home-schooled our two boys and the benefits are amazing. They are going to learn so much from this experience, far more than they could ever learn in a classroom.
We’ll be checking your blog often for updates. Good luck to you all!
We are so excited for you guys, and we look forward to following your fun adventures! My 1st grade year in Morocco was such a great experience for me, and I know your kids will have so many wonderful memories from this experience. Shae said he’d keep an eye out for a macaw or two for me. 🙂
